Bishop’s Company Fundraising DinnerMay 28 | Carmen’s Event Centre, Hamilton You are invited to this special evening supports vital discretionary funding that helps the bishop respond to emerging needs across the diocese. For the first time, the event is open to the public. Tickets are $175 and include a 3-course meal, reception, complimentary beverage, and a partial charitable receipt. Parish tables of eight are available for $1,000. The evening will feature a silent auction, photobooth, and musical entertainment, with special guest Archbishop Shane Parker. Support Affordable Housing in Oakville – Public Meeting May 4
A public meeting will be held on May 4, 2026, at 6:30 pm in the Council Chambers at Oakville Town Hall to consider a proposed Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment for a six-storey mixed-use development at 1493 Sixth Line. The proposal by Post Residences Inc. is for a 100% affordable housing project featuring 190 rental units and a 3,000 sq. ft. daycare. More than housing, it is designed as a community hub with integrated supports and services for vulnerable residents. This project responds to a critical need in Oakville, where a significant affordable housing gap exists. Community support is encouraged. Residents can:
