The Greening Committee warmly invites volunteers to join in the annual celebration of Earth Day by participating in the Earth Day Cleanup taking place all over Oakville on Friday, April 18. Take part individually or form groups in a nearby park, bringing along a garbage bag, gloves, and perhaps a pickup stick, and you can do so at a time that works best for you. Even half an hour in a place like Coronation Park, with its easy, level ground, can be enough to fill a garbage bag.
