This year at St. Jude’s we will be holding a “Blue Christmas” service, sometimes called a “Longest Night” service. It will be held on Saturday, December 20 at 6:00pm. Annual Pledge Campaign for 2026Our intentional giving to St. Jude's Our Annual Pledge Campaign page on this website is now live. For the second year in a row, the Stewardship Committee of St. Jude's offers resources to help parishioners decide on their level of financial support for the life and work of the parish in the coming year. The process of collecting pledges helps the parish in terms of its own financial stewardship and preparation for its Operating Budget. On the campaign page you will find a letter from our rector together with various resources to help you prayerfully consider your financial participation in God's mission in this place. You will also find a narrative budget that tells the story of how St. Jude's resources are allocated in our four major areas of focus: (1) Caring for Neighbours; (2) Worship and Music; (3) Faith Formation; and, (4) Pastoral Care and Community Life. Finally, you will find a convenient and secure form through which to complete your pledge for 2026. Your parish thanks you for your participation and support. A special thanks to those who have already pledged. We have receive 74 pledges and are 49% of the way to our goal of 150. These pledges are for more than $212,000, which brings us 47% of the way to our goal of $450,000. As we work together, God accomplishes more than we can ask or imagine. For more infomation visit:

“Reflection on Peace—the Promise of Advent”Rector's blog on Faith and Disability .org
One of the promises of God that Advent invites us to remember is the promise of peace, an abundance of peace. The theme of peace is prominent in many of the scripture readings we read in worship during this season. Many will know that peace features prominently not only in Advent texts, but in the Christmas story as well. What might this promised peace look like for you? For those who live with disability, peace might come in the form of belonging to a community that has moved from exclusion and independence to embrace and mutual care. Indeed, this is a picture of peace for the church, the whole church. Such peace is a gift from God as well as a calling; it is the Spirit’s work of reconciliation and renewal within the body of Christ. As with many forms of peace, it comes as a gift, but the gift is also a practice to be cultivated in community.
