In Case of Inclement Weather

In Case of Inclement Weather

With inclement weather forecast for this Sunday, people have been asking about our policy for cancelling services, or closing the church office because of a weather event.

Here's what you need to know. In case of closure on a Sunday morning we will post a notice on the parish website by 6:30 AM. We will also send an email to subscribers to our online parish newsletter.

In case of an office closure, or cancellation of mid-week services, we will post a notice on the website by 8 AM.

Of course, we should all be aware of our local conditions in bad weather and make our own decisions based on local advisories, current conditions, and our own safety.

Women’s Fellowship — Zoom Only This Monday

Women’s Fellowship — Zoom Only This Monday

Following a brief discussion and a look at the forecast, Women’s Fellowship will meet by Zoom only.

Fraud Prevention Workshop

Fraud Prevention Workshop

with S/Sgt Colin Anderson, Toronto Police Service Auxiliary - Wednesday, February 11, 2026

Whether by telephone, email, or in-person encounters, many of us face the risk of fraud on a regular basis. A St. Jude's parishioner recently confided in our rector saying, "I live in constant fear that I will fall victim to fraud. I feel that I am exposed so very often."

Join us for a workshop with Staff Sergeant Colin Anderson of the Toronto Police Service (and our rector's nephew), who will bring us a presentation he has give to many community groups. Colin will give us advice on what to look for, what to avoid, and how to protect ourselves from fraud.

This workshop will take place immediately following the Parish Lunch on Wednesday, February 11 in Victoria Hall at St. Jude's. Join us for lunch and bring a friend. All are welcome.
