Your prayers are invited for Michael Bowyer (Anglican Military Ordinariate), Doug Downey (St. Stephen-on-the-Mount, Hamilton), Adedayo Olomodosi (Grace Church, Milton and St. Jude’s, Oakville), and Kathy Thomas (St. David’s, Welland) as they prepare for ordination to the diaconate and for The Reverend David Shumaker (St. George’s, Guelph) as he prepares for ordination to the priesthood.

The service will take place at Christ's Church Cathedral in Hamilton on Sunday, May 24 at 4 PM. Bishop Susan Bell will be the principal ordaining bishop and celebrant, and Archdeacon Sheila Van Zandwyk will be the preacher. Bishop Nigel Shaw of the Anglican Military Ordinariate, will also join as an ordaining bishop.

All are welcome to attend this service, either in-person or virtually via the diocesan YouTube channel! Clergy are particularly encouraged to attend in person and vest as a sign of support; the liturgical colour is red.

We also ask for your personal prayers for the ordinands and that they be remembered in worship services throughout the diocese in the coming weeks.
