The Right Reverend Dr. Susan Bell, Bishop of Niagara, has shared her intention to honour Cheryl Hudson from St. Jude's Church as a member of the Order of Niagara. Cheryl recently received the letter of appointment and congratulations from Bishop Susan.

The Order of Niagara is an honour the bishop bestows upon lay people of the diocese in recognition of their contributions to the life of a parish, the diocese, and/or the community. Cheryl served St. Jude's with distinction, serving not just once, but twice as churchwarden, returning to the role at a critical time of transition. She continues to serve the parish and diocese in a number of ways. In her professional life, as consultant in philanthropy, her gifts shine and enable others to contribute joyfully and meaningfully toward the common good.

Cheryl joins a long list of impressive Christian disciples from St. Jude's who have been appointed in the past. Cheryl is the twenty-first parishioner from St. Jude's to be so honoured.

Cheryl will be officially installed as a member of the Order at a special service of Holy Eucharist at Christ's Church Cathedral in Hamilton, on Sunday, November 22, 2026, at 4 PM. All are invitend to attend this celebration of ministry in our diocese.

We offer Cheryl our warmest congratulations on this well-deserved honour.
