THE STORY WE’RE IN
A Six‑Week Exploration of the Christian Story at St. Jude’s
Meeting weekly at 7 PM in St. Jude's Victoria Hall, beginning Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
A story big enough for all of us
Every one of us lives by a story — a way of making sense of the world, our lives, our longings, and our place in it. Some stories lift us up. Some stories weigh us down. Some stories we inherit without ever choosing them.
The Story We’re In is a gentle, conversational six‑week journey into the Christian story — a story big enough to hold the world’s beauty and its brokenness, and personal enough to speak to your own life with honesty and hope.
This is not a course to “sell” Christianity or pressure anyone into belief. It’s a space to explore, to wonder, to ask questions, and to discover how the biblical story might make sense of the world you live in.
You don’t need church experience.
You don’t need the right words.
You don’t need to believe anything before you walk in the door.
You already belong in the story.
Each gathering includes:
The tone is friendly, honest, and accessible — no jargon, no pressure, no assumptions.
Why we are drawn to beauty, goodness, and purpose — and how the biblical story begins with blessing.
Why life feels fractured, why we feel fractured, and why our longings for wholeness matter.
How Jesus enters the story as its central figure — healing, restoring, and reorienting everything.
What it means to join the story personally: trust, belonging, and a new way of living.
The Christian hope of renewal — not escape — and how God’s future shapes our present.
How your life, gifts, and longings fit into the larger story God is telling.
If that’s you — or someone you know — this is a place to breathe, listen, and explore.
We live in a world full of competing stories — stories about success, identity, fear, achievement, scarcity, and self‑creation. Many of us feel pulled in a dozen directions at once.
The Christian story offers a different way of seeing:
a world created in goodness, broken by real pain, healed through love, and moving toward renewal.
And it invites you to find your place within it.
