Join us for this three special events on our patronal festival weekend.

Saturday Morning Breakfast with John Bowen

  • We invite you to join us for breakfast and to listen to our festival speaker, Dr. John Bowen. His topic will be "Evangelism for Nervous Anglicans." Breakfast will be served at 9:30 AM.

Sunday Morning

  • Festal Eucharist at both 8 AM and 10:30.
  • Guest speaker, John Bowen will preach at 10:30. His topic will be "Don't Give Up Your Hamburger."

Sunday Evening

  • Festal Evensong at 4 PM followed by a potluck dinner.
  • Our guest speaker will join us to speak over dessert; his topic will be "Healthy Evangelism: Is It an Oxymoron?"

About our Guest Speaker

John Bowen worked in campus ministry with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship for twenty years, in the final years as an itinerant evangelist on some twenty campuses. He then taught evangelism and directed the Institute of Evangelism at Wycliffe College for a further twenty. John has authored or edited a number of books, most recently The Unfolding Gospel: How the Good News Makes Sense of Discipleship, Church, Mission, and Everything Else (Fortress 2021). He and his wife Deborah, a retired English professor, have belonged to the Church of St John the Evangelist in Hamilton for almost thirty years and John is a frequent contributor to our Diocesan paper, The Niagara Anglican.
