We are delighted to share wonderful news from one of our key community partners. St. Matthew’s House has been awarded a $75,000 grant from the J.P. Bickell Foundation in support of their Seniors First Response Team / Seniors in Kitchens program.
This two-year grant will allow St. Matthew’s House to purchase a refrigerated delivery van, which will greatly enhance the safety and reliability of their food deliveries to seniors. This new vehicle will ensure that meals remain safely chilled in transit, an important improvement as demand continues to grow.
As many of you know, St. Jude’s partners closely with St. Matthew’s through the Pantry Program, and a significant portion of the frozen meals they deliver are prepared in our own kitchen. We are especially grateful to Blair Richardson, a devoted and active St. Jude’s parishioner, whose initiative in sharing this opportunity helped St. Matthew’s secure this important grant.
We celebrate with our friends at St. Matthew’s and look forward to continuing our shared ministry of caring for vulnerable seniors in our community.
