Introducing Martie Whitaker

Martie Whitaker Joins Lay Pastoral Care Team at St. Jude's

The Rector is pleased to announce that Martie Whitaker has joined our Lay Pastoral Care Team, joining a small group of volunteers that assist the clergy of the parish with lay pastoral visitation. 

While Martie may be unfamiliar to some of us, she has a long association with St. Jude's. She was baptized at St Jude’s in 1960 and attended the church with her grandparents Nora and Jim Dunwoody. She was  also confirmed at St. Jude's. She regularly attends the Wednesday Communion service and has done so since 2009.

Martie is a trained pastoral care worker with many years of experience and interestingly holds a Master's degree in Canadian history. She is looking forward to visiting members of St Jude’s. If you would like a visit from Martie please call the church office.
