Cancellation of All Services for Sunday, February 16

Due to the extreme weather forcast for Sunday, we have taken the decision to cancel all services for Sunday, February 16. This includes the 8 AM Early Service, 10 AM Choral Service, and the 4 PM Choral Evensong. We will also be postponing the planned post-Evensong Potluck Dinner. 

Choral Evensong will return on Sunday, March 16. Rescheduling of the Potluck Dinner will be announced at a later time. 

Please note that the Annual Vestry Meeting for St. Jude's has been called for Sunday, February 23, at 12:30 PM. The Annual Vestry Meeting agenda includes the formal reception of the St. Jude's audited finanical statements, the approval of the Operating Budget for 2025, the election of parish officers, consideration of a motion to approve the replacement of the fire panel for the church building, and any other business that it properly brought to the Vestry Meeting. All parishioners who have reached the age of sixteen years, support the parish financial and through attendancee in worship, and who have not voted in a vestry meeting of another parish in the past six months are eligible to vote at this meeting. This communication will be considered a formal notice of this meeting. The Annual Report including the audited financial statements can be found here.

Since we will not be gathering for worship on Sunday, I encourage you to take advantage of one of the excellent worship services available online. In my opinion, if would be difficult to find a better choice than the livestream from Washington's National Cathedral available here. Tomorrow's preacher will be the Reverend Dr. Raphael Warnock, the Senior Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. The guest choir will be the North Central Carolina University Choir. That service begins at 11:15 AM.
