Choral Scholarships
Open to secondary and post-secondary students of all voice types, St. Jude’s Choral Scholarships offer young musicians the opportunity to develop their musical skills, gain valuable performance experience, and become part of a vibrant and welcoming choral community.
Based at one of Oakville’s most iconic churches, St. Jude’s brings together professional and volunteer musicians in a focused, supportive ensemble. Choral Scholars sing a wide-ranging repertoire and experience the richness of the Anglican choral tradition through Sunday Eucharist, monthly Choral Evensong, and special seasonal services and concerts.
A Musical Opportunity to Grow
Choral Scholars receive mentorship from experienced musicians while developing their vocal technique, ensemble skills, musicianship, and confidence through regular rehearsals and performances. Scholars become an integral part of the music program and have the opportunity to sing repertoire ranging from the Renaissance and Baroque to contemporary composers.
The scholarship runs throughout the choir season, from September through mid-June. Some services and rehearsals may take place during school holidays.
