The churchwardens and priest-in-charge act together as a corporation to act for the parish in all temporal matters. They are responsible for the employment of church staff, the fabric of the church facilities, the good stewardship and management of parish finances, and a whole host of other responsibilties.

The churchwardens are advised by the Parish Council, whose primary responsibility is to discern the extent to which the parish is fulfilling its mission, and to advise the corporation on how best to support and enhance that mission.

There are four churchwardens at St. Jude's. Two are elected by the members of the parish Vestry and two are appointed by the priest-in-charge.

The parish treasurer is appointed by the corporation to assist and advise them in financial matters. The parish treasurer routinely participates with the members of the corporation in their regular meetings.
