Anyone walking by the west ramp to the office over the next few weeks might be surprised to hear the sounds of laughter and cheers coming from the open Youth Room door. A quick peek down the stairs will show several young people playing air hockey and pool, making art, and learning about their new home in Canada. For the second year in a row, the Halton Multicultural Council will be joining us at St Jude's on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays for their Newcomers' Summer Camp where children in grades 6-12 who are new to Canada will practice their language skills, make new friends, learn about our community, and have a lot of fun.

Big thanks to the St Jude's Property Committee and student volunteers from St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School (led by parishioner Joy McConney) who cleaned and repainted the Youth Room earlier in the year. We are excited for more groups to utilize this updated space for meetings and fellowship activities throughout the year.
