Rummage Sale is Saturday, April 22 at 8:30 am

We are thankful to all members of the Garden Guild for their hard work in planning, digging, potting and selling at the annual plant sale in 2022. It was a HUGE success after two years of not having an event due to pandemic. Congratulations!
The St. Jude’s Garden Guild now comprises some 30 members. We meet mostly on Thursday mornings, or afternoons, according to the season, with a common goal of maintaining these beautiful gardens – keeping them colourful and cared for, and ever conscious of the changing seasons. After each garden session we engage in fellowship with ‘coffee & cookies’ ; where we enjoy the real friendship of our fellow volunteers.
The Garden Guild was formed in 1983, when the vision of developing a dandelion-strewed field into beautiful gardens was discussed – and the work began. It is an on-going project…The Guild is self-funding, with the chief source of income from the Annual Plant Sale in Mid-May; we are also delighted to welcome donations for memorial plantings and towards the general maintenance of the Garden; as the annual service bills for the sprinkler system, tree and lawn maintenance, and winter kill plant replacement are considerable.
We welcome additional members – there is a great spirit amongst the team; enthusiasm, and a wonderful sense of achievement with those who enjoy being part of the ever-changing scene. This is a very special area – a living heritage for all to walk, sit and relax, or reflect in the Glory of the Garden.
